Strength Knowledge. No Fluff.

  • Visualization for Powerlifting

The strongest lifters I have known rehearse their lifts in their head before they ever touch the bar. Visualization sounds soft until you understand what it is actually doing. You are programming your body to execute a heavy lift before you step up to it, and that preparation shows up in the lift itself. Why…

Heavy or Light for Arms? How to Use Both Rep Ranges

Heavy or light for arms? Lifters argue it both ways, with one camp grinding heavy barbell curls and the other doing endless light pump sets. The truth is that arms grow best when you use both, matched to the right movements. Here is how to use heavy and light work to build your arms. Both…

This is a great gym owned and operated by Dave DePew. This is a classic REAL gym, with every piece of equipment you can think of and an amazing California outdoor area. This is the home of many powerlifters, strongmen competitors and a great community of people who just enjoy working out. Dave has continued to build out the gym and you can tell the pride he takes in his facility. This is honestly one of my favorite gyms in all of San Diego. The aesthetic is unbeatable. If you are visiting San Diego, I suggest you drop through and check this place out.
