Exactly What Happens on Your First Training Day After Orientation

You made the decision. You showed up to orientation. You’ve got a real plan in hand. So the next question almost every beginner asks is a fair one: what actually happens when I walk in to train for the first time?

At Gegns Gym, your first day isn’t random, overwhelming, or intimidating. It’s structured on purpose, fully coached, and built to give you confidence right out of the gate. You’re not thrown onto the floor to figure it out. You’re guided from the second you walk through the door.

You Arrive Knowing the Plan

There’s no guesswork on timing or what to expect, because your schedule got locked in back at orientation. You already know where to go and who you’re meeting. A coach greets you right away and confirms the path you were placed on:

  • Programming only
  • Programming plus coaching
  • Small-group training
  • One-on-one coaching

You go straight to where you belong. No wandering, no standing around wondering if you’re in the right spot.

We Start With Movement, Not a Generic Warm-Up

The session opens with real movement preparation. Not five minutes on a treadmill, but a purposeful warm-up that teaches you how to move well before you load anything. How the rest of the day looks depends on your path. In small-group, you’re training alongside other people who are also just starting, so you’re building community from day one. In one-on-one, the whole session is tailored to your level and your needs. On programming only, you learn exactly how to run your plan, and when and who to reach out to for tweaks or questions.

Your Coach Is Watching More Than Reps

Throughout the session, your coach isn’t just counting reps. They’re paying attention to your comfort level, your movement quality, your confidence as it grows, any pain or limitations, and how quickly you’re picking things up. That real-time feedback lets us adjust your plan on the spot, so it fits you instead of forcing you to fit it.

You Leave Knowing What’s Next

Before you walk out, we lock in the details:

  • Your full training schedule
  • Your starting nutrition framework
  • Upcoming workshops and seminars
  • The date and time of your next session
  • Who to contact with any questions, so you’re never left guessing

You leave with clarity, not confusion.

Why This Matters

Most beginners quit early because those first few workouts feel chaotic. Too much information, too little support, and no real direction. Your first day at Gegns is the opposite of that. You feel guided, you feel supported, and you feel capable. That one session builds trust, in the process and in yourself. Once that trust is there, showing up consistently becomes natural, and consistency is what actually delivers results.

If you haven’t started yet, the Beginner Onboarding Orientation is your way in. That’s where your path gets built and your first day gets set up. We cap the spots each month to keep the coaching personal, so when you’re ready to start with a plan and walk in confident, that’s where it begins.
